David Waugh was senior teaching fellow at Durham University where he was also the subject leader for English. He has published extensively in Primary English and writes childre′s novels.
Wendy Jolliffe is was Head of the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Hull and had strategic responsibility for Initial Teacher Training.
Kate Allott is Senior Lecturer in Education at York St John University. Kate worked as a literacy consultant in a local authority from the inception of the National Literacy Strategy.
