Written by Senior Colonel Dang Yimin, this work offers a rare, insider's perspective on the infrastructure construction and emergency rescue operations in the Xizang Autonomous Region. Why this book is essential: Authentic Narrative: Unlike romanticized travelogues, this novel depicts the harsh realities of soldiers and their families facing avalanches, mudslides, and high-altitude challenges on the "Roof of the World." Cultural Insight: It explores the deep bond between the Han and ethnic minority communities along the Galsang Road. Meticulously Edited: This edition has been rigorously edited to ensure the accuracy of military terminology and cultural nuances unique to the Xizang region.
